So, at some point, someone rigged my fan to always turn when the jeep is on. Start it up and there she goes. Was very glad the fan shroud was there the other day when I spaced this. Any thoughts on how the managed this one?

Replaced the clutch with a spacer or the "goo" in the clutch is no longer "gooey".

Drove it to work, coasted home on fumes. DTE 2 miles.

Removed front and rear bumpers and put a first coat of Krylon Fusion Flat paint to them. Looking good so far.

Replaced driver side factory fog light (old one was cracked and pieces of it were lost) and hope to be able to put both bumpers back on tomorrow after another light coat of Krylon.

well it had overheating problems in it's earlier days. so that is my guess as to why. either way might as well have it on all the time.

I have a few of those laying around too, I always try and snag them when I'm at the boneyard.

Nice!

On topic, I just drove mine to work. Other than driving it and putting gas in it, I haven't done anything to it over the last few weeks. I've got a couple little things I want to get done this weekend though.

I cheated on it today. I stopped at a used car lot and checked out a ZR2. I talked with the salesguy about a possible trade. Then I got home, saw it sitting in my driveway, and thought about how that could possibly be a mistake. The ZR2 was super clean and only had 63k on it. I don't know how I feel about the 4.3s though. I've had two of them already, both with negative experiences.

I can't swing it right now anyway. They want $9k for the ZR2. My ZJ is worth half that if I'm lucky. Even if I traded that and my Caprice, I'd probably still be short of the price. It's not gonna happen.
