Sweet thanks. I might go with a 265/75r16 on the stockers for a bit if I can find a decent used set to get me buy just because i cant stand under sized tires on a lifted vehicle. Im definitely gonna go with the 15x8 when I get the soft 8's though.

It's actually the wider rims that have issues when airing down. 4" difference between tire and rim width seems to be the most popular setup, but running them on a 7" rim is not doing to increase the chance of breaking the bead. If he was running the 12.5 tires on a 10" wide rim, then the chance goes up.

my bad, I had been told when you just to the 12.5 on 7" you run a higher risk of breaking the bead when aired down. Glad someone taught me now

You could run a 33 11.5 that's gone be bout all you can fit. And that lift will actually be around 4.75 to 5 in life btw my 3.5 I got from them really was almost 4 but they are the best and beefest lifts made. I've had mine on for a lil over a year now and its loosened up a lil bit not much my next order from them is there adjustable CA kit factory's just wear out fast!!!!!

That's good to know, I've heard iro was the best bang for the buck from a lot of people. After I get set up with the wheels and tires I want I'm gonna do all 4 ca's I'm just gonna hafta decide if I wanna do adjustable shorties or step up to long arms eventually I'd like to be at 5.5 or 7 inches with long arms but im super indecisive and this seemed like a good starting point til I can decide for sure where I wanna go with it.

Long arms are what you want at 5.5 or 7. Just don't forget getting that high is a totally new world of problems.

Start medium then work your way up.

BTW check out Rubicon Express. I basically have their set up minus new CA's and i'm waiting on buying new springs for their 3.5 kit. Love the shocks and track bars I got.

Appreciate the heads up, if I take er to 5.5 or 7 she'll be relieved of her dd duties so that's definitely a ways off if it happens. Starting somewhere in the middle is the plan for now that way I can build around it. Ill scope out rubicon express too, its always good to look at all the options before pulling the trigger.

I had RE 4.5" coils on my first ZJ.They were a bit taller than 4.5. They were nice. I used stock rims with spacers and ran 33x12.50's.

My 4 month old water pump just took a crap today. So new water pump, belt, thermostat, and thermostat housing this weekend. And of course the part store doesn't have in their system that particular purchase. Second time this year.

I swapped out my fixed glass hatch for a lift glass hatch today when it was slow at work this morning. I need to hook up constant power to the glass release button, but it's in place and 90% of it works! It's even the right color!!!!
