I'm searching for a cause and effect for a very strange problem on my zj....anyone else having this problem? It seems as if my jeep is telling me it wants a ghetto hood scoop/vent.....the driverside hood hinge has lifted increasingly over the course of 6 months. ?wtf and now I can't load a pic cause the file is too big...what a great start. Tgif

I had this issue with one of my hinges. The top hinge plate is probably bent (not sure what causes it). Just pull a new pair of hinges from a junkyard ZJ and that should fix it.

Haha probably. But I'm getting the explorer cheap enough it will be okay to dd. and I'm going to wheel the jeep until something major like axels, trans, tcase, or motor let go. And then it will get scrapped

Was going to swap out my bad u joint , but it got to hot in the garage. So off to the beach for the day

"aut viam inveniam aut faciam"

I hate when old people poke me at weddings, point and whisper, "You're next." So I've started doing the same thing to them at funerals

A 2000 is a 2nd gen. As much as everyone hates them and wants them to die, they never seem to. They'll get close and be completely falling apart, but they'll still run.

They are good. There's has the 4.0 v6 I almost bought one with the 5.0 before I bought my zj. But it was in bad shape.

The Cologne 4.0 only came as SOHC or pushrod, not DOHC. And yeah, the SOHC ones had more power.
