Here in North Carolina its just hit $3.42 in Winston Salem. But 28.7 miles one way to work at around 16 mpg in my 94 5.2 seems decent enough assuming my HUD is accurate.

Noticed my fan isnt make as much noise as it usually does. Probably the cause of my engine running 10-15 degrees hotter

Went to the local pull a part to get a "new" rear bumper support bracket. Well found one zj without the jy "car stands" (welded rims) on the hitch. Removed the hitch easy enough (someone actually sprayed the bolts with pb blaster already) and started to work ok the mount studs. Used the double nut method to remove one. Working on the second one the weld broke and i said f*** it.

I found one zj with a skid plate but the damn rims holding the truck up were in my way. Wheres a jack when you need one.

Welcome to Chicagoland, the armpit of America, home of the highest gas prices in the country. We have all the steel mills and refineries here and still pay out the wazoo for gas and scrap steel. Go figure.

Yup, it's a good thing I filled up last night. If it cost 100 to fill then, and wasn't quiiiite empty, hate to have seen it if I left it today

Got the intake manifold back on and snugged down. I was pleasantly surprised by the lack of crud in the lifter valley, so at least all the previous owners to this Jeep changed the oil regularly.

My '703 injector service kit gets here tomorrow so I should be able to get it all wrapped up after work.

It runs. Trans slips sometimes. I'm planning a couple wheeling trips to take it on before I scrap it.
