Replaced the original Boge shocks on my 1995 ZJ with the Up Country option.
Monroe Reflexx ... buy four get the fourth free with a rebate.
Only drawback I think ... the "boots" on the Monroes were plastic and were more of a "shield" more than anything. They were even completely open on one end.
I took the Boge shocks, degreased them, and then took off the boots. For being 16 years old, the boots were in exceptional shape. Just like new.
Considering cutting off the current plastic dust boots and engineering some sort of replacement with the Boge boots.
Either way ... the shocks were a huge improvement.
I mounted my fire extinguisher today in the rear cargo area cubby hole. I also got my Uniden PC68XL mounted up and wired up. I just need to run to Radio Shack to get an SWR meter to tune the antenna so the CB can be operational.
On a separate note, I'm still trying to find either a cheap 8.8 or a D44a for the ZJ, the D35 is going to be hating life when I get a chance to go wheeling again.
Decided not to drive it today because I got a letter from my provinces dept. of transportation "regarding the legality of my Jeeps height" UGH
Glad you are ok. If you were a cat, you would be down to 8.:D
Fixed those wires in the rubber boot at the door hinges on both sides. Had to because the stock alarm gave me a fit yesterday at the most inconvenient time. The Jeep would fire up for about 5 seconds then shut down. I managed to ground that purple/yellow wire while in the parking lot to get it running. Now all the windows roll up/down quicker than ever too!
