The intake on my car is made of PVC. Shhh... No one knows. It's pretty common among B body guys with 94-96 cars.



It's held up like that for years now. I'm sure it has a little to do with me only putting about 2000 miles on my car in the last 6 years though.

I'm gonna guess there's a major restriction there and PVC is a cheap fix to it?

Started to do ball joints and hub...got the upper out after breakin the bolt end off (which is still stuck in the knuckle. Lower WILL NOT BUDGE, have a press on it, heated the crap out of it with mapp gas, and beat the piss out if it...I'm goin to bed and it looks like in takin the day off work tomorrow

Yup, as well as where you see the little chrome plug with the bow tie on it. They call it the "first base and home plate delete." It's more or less one of the first mods done by most B body enthusiasts.

What car is that?
Its an LT1 i know and looks pretty stock but is it?

Scored enough '703 injectors to swap my 5.2 and my buddies 4.0. Just need to get rebuild kits and slap 'em in.

Gotta love half off day at the junkyard, only $3.50 an injector.

Not my zj which I started for the first time in 3 weeks gonna drive it to work tomorrow so its not lonely lol. But put the front end back on my chief for the first time in 23 years it finally lives again after that many years now all she needs is paint and interior fresh 390 v8 with 0 miles and very aggressive cam fresh turbo 400 with 0 miles same as t case and Dana 44s frame up resto is almost done can't wait to wheel this beast at least once.

installed new rear sway links , took 5 minutes g/f did one side while i did the other

then i tried again to change the drag link but was caught up on the steering stabilizer , it wont budge even with a pickle fork and every pry tool i have

so i just put a new boot on the end and called it done

Changed my oil with Shell Rotella T6 5W-40 and a Mopar filter Then knocked ANOTHER hole in my muffler when my buddy was checking out my brakes. He forgot to put our lift supports down (hard to explain), and all I know is, when they are under the rear axle and you back up into them, they punch decent sized holes in exhaust components Sounds like it may've knocked a baffle loose. So, I've decided to weld my catalytic converter on to replace the stupid-a** clamps the PO used, cut out my muffler, and straight-pipe it past the cat until I can scrape together enough dough to get myself another Flowmaster Super 44. Had one on my last ZJ and it sounded MEAN! And that was on a 4.0, so I really want to hear how it sounds on a 5.9

That was my day. Jeep runs like a dream, sounds like crap now. Rattles all over the place. Oh yeah! Found two brand spankin' new OME front shocks on a Cherokee at the JY while we were wheeling my buddy's "offroad minivan" (Pontiac Montana, Front-wheel drive, totally stock, oh god!). They are in pristine condition, even the hardware and bushings look new! My question is, will they work on my ZJ? I can't imagine they would, since my ZJ probably weighs 1-2k lbs more than the Cherokee, but I still wanna try since the front ends on both the XJ and ZJ are identical. Worth a shot, right? And, they're free, so what do I have to lose? The Yard is turning into a Superfund site anyway, so he figures he doesn't have anything to lose... His loss, my gain, as Craigslist would say

As Nick stated, it's in my Caprice. It's not an LT1 though. It's an L99, the LT1s little sibling. It's a 4.3L V8. I wish my car had the 5.7L.
