Went to the jy down the street from my house and holy **** I'm never going there again. 85 bucks for a durango airhat, since I ****ed up my first one, the plastic piece that goes around the steering column, and a window switch, which btw didn't fix my problem of only being able to control the windows from the drivers door, and I cant take it back because I cut up the wires of my old harness to try to fix the problem. Talk about a rip off.

If you're really worried about siphoning gas (ZJs have anti-siphon measures installed in the lines stock, so it's pointless anyways), get a locking gas cap.

I love the look myself. But living in the city and having my battery stolen once and the cat cut off I figure with my 94 locking why make it easier for them to steal my gas. Not that it would stop them. I'm likely to wake up with a hole drilled in my gas tank lol.

We have that problem here too. The main thing seems to be cat converters being chopped off vehicles that are easy to get under. They are sold for scrap.

A junkyard by my parents will pay $75 for a cat no questions asked. I can see why they'd be a high theft item.

Cats have either platinum, palladium, or rhodium in them depending on the make. Some have a combination of precious metals.

If you see Tyrone Biggums snooping around under your truck you know what he is up to.

JY trip!

I visited a couple JY's today, picked up a few parts for my pending 99+ intake/ injector/ header swap.
I also visited another yard where I bought the privacy glass & tailgate (flip glass) from a 96 - 98? Limited that had a really nice black leather interior! Back seats looked perfect, I did not look at the fronts but I will when I return to pick up the parts. Their yard rule, they remove all parts. The door panels, carpet and what I saw of the dash looked pristine! If anybody is looking for that I can PM you their location/ number in the Carlisle, PA area.

The catalyst is made of Platinum and/or Palladium Black, both of which are expensive metals. They're coated onto basically a brick of ceramic with a bunch of holes in it. When hot exhaust gas passes through, some hydrocarbons and nitrogen oxides catalyze into less harmful chemicals.

Because of their makeup, they have pretty significant value.

Painted my D ring bolts black. They came red and faded to pink. That's all today.

Nice!! I made sand stakes for surf fishing with 2.5" PVC. They have worked well for more than a few years!
