Nothing too special today, finally installed the TJ filler bezel I picked up at the junkyard last weekend.

I still need to paint the inside black along with the mounting hardware. It was a good way to spend a couple bucks.

Because he didn't use spacers behind it. Idk why people do it the cutting away style.

Nagca has the best write up.

Also does anyone have a front case half for a 249 they don't need? I know a guy in Wyoming that needs it to get his Jeep back on the road, I had promised himmmine but after tearing it down this weekend found it was cracked. Its currently at Richardson Racing products but is unlikely to be repaired. Can anyone help this guy out? My deal with him was he pays shipping and then when he received the case half to send me a
Sticker from an of road shop in his area as payment. I know its not much as far as payment, but seriously who is ever going to reuse their 249?
If I can get a 231 cheap and soon, I can definitely help out. What's the time-frame looking like? NOW? Or whenever works? Because I don't exactly have a ton of cash laying around to buy the 231 with and that's the only way I would be able to help ya out...

YES! Totally worth it though haha

I've been looking for a TJ at the junkyard, and I have yet to find one... I'll keep searching though ha

When my ZJ was new, I was 4. I have absolutely no idea what I was doing when I was four...

I finally got around to repairing a pesky leak in my wiper fluid tank (stupid, I know), but frustrating none the less. Had some extra time tonight, so I used a clay bar and made her smooth and shiny! Pic does no justice.

Correct, I didn't want washers between the bezel and body and possibly run into rust issues.

I want to do the tj bezel pretty bad myself but it hell finding any kind of wrangler in a lot around me!

When my Zj was made I was 17 and raising hell, making a name for myself with most the local police in my home area. Fighting with gangbangers and cowboys. (I was classified as a skater even though I road bmx also) And trying to get my Willie wet with any chick that would let me! Thank god I survived that!

I didn't use any spacers or cut the center out. All I had to do was trim a 1/4in or so out of the inside so it would fit around a notch at the base of the filler neck

Just curious why people do the TJ gas bezel? Looks or the cable broke on the factory fuel door release? I dont see the point when the factory one locks so your less likely to have any issue with vandals or people siphoning your gas, and personally, i dont like the unfinished look of the TJ bezel. Thats just me tho.

OT. Finished my Ford 8.8 install. Turned out great. Artec's kits is great, highly recommended. I also noticed a pretty decent improvement in braking over the stock rear disc setup. Pics to follow.

As mentioned, 96+ ZJ's don't have the locking fuel door w/release.

As for why I did it, I found a few SWB Jeeps in a local wrecking yard (a first for me), and it only cost me $1.50 for the bezel and another $1 for the hardware to mount it.

There's lots of lifted ZJ's here, but none of them I've seen have the TJ filler bezel, so it helps set mine apart a bit.
