I need to get to a junk yard, the withdrawal is killing me.
On topic I'm hoping to finish my 231 swap tomorrow. Then all I need is some used front shocks and a power steering pressure line and its driveable. Not necessary but I should replace my empty catalytic for the good one laying in my drive way and turn the welded thrush muffler around the right way...
Quick question, if you had a bucket of "good" trans fluid under the center of your jeep for the last 6 months would you re use it in your rig?
Unless it's new and un used then not a chance. Autos are touchy. I always buy new fluid, especially trans fluid.

I washed and "Klasse"'ed it I can't recommend this product enough. Made in Germany a non wax but silicon based acrylic compound that makes the car looks very very nice. Water beads for 6 months. Add to it the Klasse Glaze and it gets even better. Check it out my ZJ looks great. Amazon sells this stuff.
I think it was like automotivecustomcarpets.com or something. Factory color code and pre molded to fit. Very happy with it so far.

Scored a TJ fuel filler bezel at the junkyard for a whopping $1.50, along with a pristine battery tray w/vacuum reservoir and cruise control vacuum line assembly.
Not bad for $8 total.
Planning on going back next weekend and pulling the driver front fender and rear hatch with flipper glass.
I need to make a couple JY runs, odds & ends fasteners, a few pig tails, extra oil filter adapter, 96 up fog light harness ...
I did get a few of my OE lights polished today, they look like new! I also tried cerium oxide(?) polish for glass on the OE glass fog lights. I used a low speed 3" orbital polisher, kept the lens wet to prevent cracking, it did start getting hot! It did not seem to remove many pits, but after 5 minutes or so I could see that the edges of the deeper pits were being smoothed out. The lens I worked does look brighter.... I'll give them another 15 minutes each then done.
