Today I brought home my first jeep. I am excited to begin the adventure of bringing it back to its glory. 1994 ZJ with 5.2l. It has been sitting under a pine tree for over 2 years. air in tires, a jump and splash of fuel down the throttle body, and drove it home. Tomorrow we have a date with the pressure washer, and a tune up.

None of my upcoming comments are going to be family forum friendly so I'm going to stop here with it...

Congrats and welcome, don't forget to fill out your jeep info (look to the left on) on your page and read up...if you can manage to remember half of what you read it'll end up being useful.

OT: well i talked to RE yesterday and the guy was surprised I didn't get bushings in with my track bar, I said wow I am too. So now waiting for bushings to come. Rear adj. track and tires should get here today and tomorrow.

Looked at it. On the property I work at we had placed a constuction dumpster to clean up some. Naturally the no brain tenants started tossing personal crap into it so we had to dig it out of there to have room to finish the job. I was coming out of it and slipped and more or less snow boarded out the rear. When I hit the ground I stopped but lost my balance and twisted my ankle badly and kissed the dirt. My bud looked at me and said "you want help up or do you want to lay there a minute?" So I have a big knot 3/4 the way around my foot. I don't think its broken but it will make it a bit difficult to work on the jeep.

Not possible on a 96+ without a tune. Speed limiter on the V8s is at 115, 4.0s are 105, IIRC. 93 - 95 speedos only go to 100, so you can do it on those.

I don't have a speed limiter on mine, but I've never taken it past 105.

i had my v8 to 115, it actually wasn't bad. id rather do 115 in a zj than 60 in the yj
