My uncle used to have a older ford. I think it was a f150 but he had it built up and lifted. Had a roll cage in it ect. But he went up there with it a few times. He has some pictures of it jumping over some of his buddy's sitting on quads. And clearing the flags on the quads.

Windy as hell, so time to refinish the TC skid

1 coat of primer on both sides, 3 coats of paint on the TC side.

Couple more hours and I'll lay down some black on the business side.

Dialed in my rear trackbar as good as it'll go. If I go one turn in either direction it'll be off. Right now, I got it so the axle is less than a 16th of an inch to the driver side. I'll take that.

Dat Flex

"aut viam inveniam aut faciam"

I hate when old people poke me at weddings, point and whisper, "You're next." So I've started doing the same thing to them at funerals

Fun stuff. I jacked up the rear of the ZJ and spun it in place so I didn't have to screw with removing it from the axle side. I got the axle to center properly after violently shaking the Jeep side to side. It eventually rested in the right place. I got the trackbar so close, I was able to push the bolt through by hand. The only problem I have now is it hits my skid plate a little again so I'll have to cut/bend a little more of the skid out of the way. How do you run with no trackbars, btw? I know YJ guys can do it because of the leaf springs, but I thought you more or less needed them with a 4 link setup.

With a 4 link like the stock ZJ ones, you need the trackbar. However, if you build enough inwards/outwards angle into either the upper or lower arms (or both), you get a triangulated 4 link. In that situation, the arms are enough to center the axle on their own and you don't need a trackbar.

My rear track bar went in like butter too, my front was a pita. The no tb thing is kinda a joke haha to go with my square wheels and rice flavored lights lol.

But yeah, Claytons has that rear triangulated 4 link that is bad *** and you dont need a rear tb.

Yeah. That is why I was confused. I was trying to figure that out. I've seen triangulated rears, but never a front end like that. I was racking my brain attempting to figure it out.

After I read the rest of your sig and "absorbed" the square wheels, I assumed sarcasm. I really thought about it pretty hard though, trying to figure out how that ride would feel with no trackbars. Lol.

What did I do to my ZJ today? Well I bought it finally and now I am going to smog it and register it, seafoam it, then figure out why the hell the interior lights stay on, using the search function for help, and try to to figure out where this oil is leaking from?
