Even if someone offered me 5k for my zj I couldn't part with it. It never let me down so I won't let it down lol its just bothering me cuz its not big enough anymore I'm add 2 more inches but I need front upper adjustable control arms and a longer rear drive shaft.

I drove mine today for the first time since swapping all the stuff I swapped yesterday. The transfer case shifts really well, the driveshaft has no vibrations, the rear coils are quiet now that they're not progressive and no coils make contact, and the shocks are awesome. I was skeptical purchasing the DT3000s because no one runs them. At 4" of lift, the ride quality is awesome. I say it's really similar to what my ZJ was like when I had just the budget boost on it, maybe a little better. I can't wait to get it offroad to see how it's going to flex now with softer rear springs and longer shocks.

97 ZJ - 5.2L, 242, 4" IRO lift w/short arms & adj. TBs, JKS Discos/BPEs, DT3000s, Aussie'd 44A, sliders, bumpers, bunch o' skids, 31" Duratracs on 15x8s

I got bored and decided to take it out tonight just to see how the shocks perform offroad. They're good. They're a little noisy though with the polyurethane shock bushings. Hopefully the bushings last longer than rubber ones. I can deal with the noise as long as they give me more than a year of life. Oh, and I've never been able to make it up that in the pic. I attribute the success to my rear locker. The driver rear wheel was off the ground. Anyway, here's some pretty crappy cell pics. Apparently the iPhone 4 sucks at nighttime pictures. Without further adieu...

I took off my RH fender today to replace with a nice straight, same color fender only to find the same rust issue. You really have no choice but to cut out the rusted sheet metal and replace. It is a major PITA. I will need to remove the rocker panel covers to see how far it goes. So far it "only" looks to be a few inches.

You dont think you could use some naval jelly or a stripper/cleaner then some paint that makes rust primed then some paint and finally bed liner?
And after putting the liner in cover the liner to seal that way off of sorts?

Yes, you can. But if it is a structural area, you really have to put new steel in it. I have a few area's that I think I can get away with clean up/ seal & paint/ undercoat. However, The rocker panels on a unibody are the outer frame. Just keep that in mind. There are a few threads on here on how to weld in box steel to repair rockers.
