That's not even his xj. Pretty sure he got that pic off the Internet.

Waited all day for GIECO to call, they were supposed to call me to tell me what they plan to do, is it that hard. $2000 jeep plus twisted body and bent frame = Totaled.
Also looked at a few Xjs, they're just not for me. Another zj or one of those wranglers is what Im thinking.

Good news is ill have a trail ZJ to beat on.

The one thing I do really like about XJs is how light they are. A solid 800 - 1000 lbs lighter than a ZJ o.O

True, but the power to weight ratio of a 4.0 XJ is actually slightly better than a stock 5.9. The only reason they're a bit slower is that they don't hook up as well off the line and they lack the higher stall torque converter and such that the 5.9 has to beef up the launch. In a highway pull, they'd probably be neck and neck.

Drove it and froze my *** off due to having no heat in 30* weather. Fortunately, it should be back in the 50s by Thursday Oh, and I should have a 50mm TB and a replacement right rear shock coming in soon. LF wheel bearing replacement and coolant flush are on the agenda for this weekend, possibly the TB and shock too, depending on when they arrive.

So can you imagine what a 5.2 would be like in a Cherokee??? o.0

5.9 swaps in XJs have been done. But honestly, I'd rather just put in a terminator AX-15 and build the 4.0. It fits better Plus, while getting 400hp out of a 5.9 is easier than a 4.0, the ceiling of max reasonable power (with boost) before you get into truly insane mods comes in around 700hp for both. With a 5.9, especially a stroker, going much past 700 - 800hp isn't gonna happen reliably with a stock block. Aftermarket race block is easily $2k for just the block alone...
