And with those tires. Friends don't let friends wheel without at least some kind of A/T at minimum requirement.

I think in in love with my 44a. The LSD works amazing, even after filling it with synthetic gear lube and Lucas anti-slip diff additive.

I've been wheeling in 2wd now with the 5.2L and the only issue has been sand with the new 31" BFG a/t.

Waiting for something to fall off a truck so I can get a new front driveshaft made.

They're all seasons with less than 1000 miles on them. I don't do a whole lot of wheeling (this was actually at a job site) so they work for me.

Well... I thought they did until today. The open 35 was what killed me. Once the ground was out from one of the tires, I was stuck. It just kept spinning... and spinning...

I should probably upgrade my coil at some point. I'm still running the factory one from 1998, lol. It works fine, but I'm sure a little hotter spark wouldn't hurt with the other mods (although the stock coils are pretty strong on V8 ZJs). Then again, I'm cammed and still running a stock TB too, so...

It actually came with a 44HD. It's an aluminum housing 44, not an iron 44. Stock for stock, the gears in the 44HD are stronger than the ones in the iron 44. We are cursed with bad bearings though and limited aftermarket support.

Bummer,

I been hearing a lil noise back there lately. Should I be putting a friction modifier in there?....cuz....I didn't.

Did your build sheet say "anti spin rear axle?" If not, no. If so, yes.

Almost happened to me when I had my piaa's mounted under my bumper and I was goofing around on a snow pile. Was a good thing they had the cage on them. Knocked the center out of the "p" lol

Money doesn't buy happiness, but it buys a Jeep. And I ain't ever seen a sad person in a Jeep!!
