Hows the performance comparison?

You happy with em?

I believe so. Either way you're better off instead of having the pump go bad in like 100 miles after switching the sending unit.

Lucky. Mine are leaking at the passenger side header flange and possible elsewhere, and I've got rattles to fix. And of course, it's snowing and will be until Sunday, so I can't do anything about it right now

At any speed slow enough that I would notice it, it just spins cause the roads are wet. Its been snowing/sleeting/raining since last night.

Volume wise it is louder, though. It seems to echo more. Can't wait to get a flowmaster 10 series in there with 3" pipe.

What kind of gaskets came with them? I got some real thick aluminum ones.

Edit: These ones

They were some kind of paper composite. What gaskets did you get? I think I've got a spare set of Felpros sitting around, I might just take those, coat them in copper RTV and give that a try.

I edited my other post. They are quite thick, and they're double layered.

Ok. I just looked, the felpros I've got are aluminum type stuff on the manifold side and paper composite on the head side. I'll give them some RTV on the head side and see how they do (won't have a chance to put them in until Sunday). Oh, and if you need an oil pan gasket, head gaskets or valve stem seals, let me know. When I did the heads / cam last year, it was cheaper to buy a full engine rebuild gasket set, which I didn't need everything from. I didn't use the Felpro head gaskets from the kit because I wanted the Mopar Performance thin gaskets for a hair more compression.

Power steering pump

Today my power steering pump went. So i replace that today and i find it funny that my rough idle is gone, and by rough idle i mean when idleing the truck jerks a little, it doesn't do that now. Problem fixed. And i smoked a little honda civic on my test drive after installing the new pump. 4.0 gotta love it.
