Tested some stuff on the parts Jeep.

Battery's bad
Oil Pressure is high
Suspect IAC malfunction
Suspect bad fuel
Rear end is D44A Positrac
Transmission goes into gear, doesn't hesitate (other conditions unknown, could not road test)
A/C works
Heater does not
Factory radio, remote controls, amplifier, speakers work
Fairly substantial exhaust leak
Power seats work, leather severely damaged
Automatic headlights work
Power mirrors, all windows work (condition of mirror heaters unknown)
Parking brake appears to work
Vehicle is equipped with Tow Package (ball mount secured by lock, no key present)

There's a button on the bottom of the rearview mirror, anyone know what it does?

I think it's a power switch for the auto dim mirror. Mine has the same thing but I don't think it works

From JP Magazine:

Instrument Light-Less
Symptom: Sporadic instrument/dash light functionality
Affected Model(s): '76-'86 CJ, '84-'01 XJ, '97-'00 TJ, '87-'95 YJ
Cause: Dirty or broken connectors in the dimmer switch
Fix: Pull the switch out and try the compressed air route, or hose the thing off with electrical cleaner while rotating the wheel or knob to clean all contacts. If it's dirty, that should do it. If one of the wires in the potentiometer have broken, no amount of cleaning will do it for you. Sometimes the thin wire that comprises the resistor gets so corroded that only sandpaper or scraping will fix it. Again, be sure to be careful about not breaking that wire.

That's what I was thinking, and I tested it with my phone's flashlight, to no avail.

Also, the VIC doesn't seem to be working at all. I'm actually interested in swapping one into my GDM-equipped ZJ. Any ideas why the VIC isn't doing anything?

Got new wiper blades. And totaled up about $400 worth of parts to repair the front end.

Was sitting at half tank topped her off. Washed all 8 windows and the headlights with the thing at the gas station.

And put one of these on the joint where the exhaust pipe goes into the cat inlet.

Couldnt get the crappy U-bolt clamp to seal it up, it leaked bad.

Now it barely leaks with the walker clamp. Sounds better now.

Picked up a cheap 231 from the local jy
The donor was a 98 xj w/ 134k. Shifts through all the gears easily.

Also got dana 30 and ford 8.8 solid diff covers today

The 30 looks so small next to the 8.8 cover.

Got more stuff to play with coming later this week

Ordered some jks mini skids from kolak today. Also pressure washed my axles since it was so warm out today. Too bad that caused everything in my garage to sweat. Too wet to paint.

Installed a red top Optima, 160 amp alt., replaced the crystal clear headlights with new OEM headlights, put in a 1295NA , installed a Kinetik HC700SE battery for the audio and replaced the interior light fuse. Brought back the dead duralast gold to Vatozone for the $70.00 refund and heading to pep-boys tomorrow for some Hella 700ff's!

Got these in today. Put them in. About 100% better sound then the old fosgate. Alot tighter sounding. That's why I like sealed boxes.
