1.5 year old $500 Griffin radiator started leaking very suddenly. It's a pretty good leak too, so the Jeep is getting parked. I'm sure my roommates are gonna love driving me to class for a few days while I wait for a warranty replacement (and it's too cold out to work on it for at least the next 4 - 5 days). Best part is, I have 8 am classes 3 days a week, none of them do.

At least the damn radiator is still in warranty. I'll give Griffin a call tomorrow and tell them they need to overnight me a new rad and I'll send the old one back once I swap it, as the ZJ is my only vehicle (and this will be the 3rd time I've replaced the rad in 3 years of owning it).

Installed my front track bar and got the steering dialed in.
After running it lifted for about 4 months now, the tires were starting to show odd wear patterns. Hopefully this helps.

Lined up an 8.8 and 231 tcase to pick up next weekend. Gotta start prepping for the season.
My local wheelin group got a nice schedule going for the year!

Finished welding my 8.8. Also ran out of welding wire again right before I finished. That **** went up two bucks at tractor supply since I bought it less than a month ago.

Did a quick rise after going wheeling sat. Found some bangs & light damage , scraped rims & tires , my stock rockers love me , it will buff out , blow up 4x4 linkage looks like somebody beat it with a hammer , and ripped off my transmission speed sensor plug still made it home that night. But the IRO belly skid I put on is my ZJ's best friend

Thats no good.

I have been reading a ton of threads on the net about different radiators to replace the one in my 4.0 ZJ and I have read horror stories on basically every radiator.

I wanted to replace it with an all aluminum but its looking like I should just get an oem style replacement from Oreillys so atleast its a local store I can return it to when it starts pissing again...

My radiator is, as near as I can tell, original to the vehicle. Doesn't leak a drop. I have a lot of faith in stuff built to OEM spec. I've seen too many expensive aftermarket radiators come completely undone in my time between being a Jeeper and a tuner.

I bought a PRO radiator from rockauto close to a year ago as a cheap temp fix until I could afford an aluminum one but it has been working flawlessly. I paid 110 for it shipped I think.

I'm gonna shoot Griffin an email today and see what they say about getting me a replacement. I don't want to bash them as this thing looks pretty well built and feels solid. I'm hoping this is just a minor defect and not a sign of poor build quality.

Being that it's leaking from a couple of neighboring pinholes (all within 1/4") on one of the big weld beads that holds the tanks on, it's probably just a thin spot in the weld. I'm gonna clean it up and apply a little epoxy for now so I'll at least have it drivable again by Thursday or so (no idea what the cure time stretches to when it's 15* outside at best).

Same here, I bought mine going on 2 years ago now and have had absolutely no issue. And I've jammed mine full of mud on multiple occasions. Still no issues.

I picked up an all aluminum rad from radiator barn about year ago, since then my cooling issues have subsided ALOT. But last time I referred someone they said they don't have one for zj's anymore. glad I got it when I did, I was jus so fed up with plastic tanks blowing or cracking! (not all in The zj, by the way, that was jus the last straw for me)

I pulled the headliner and redid it. I am happy with the way it turned out other than the color doesnt match. But it is what hancock fabrics had, I should have went darker. But I now have a non saggy headliner, and center console minus the direction and temp brain. If anyone needs a new brain and buttons let me know ....

Well it wasn't today but over the course of the weekend we deterred some slight body damage. Anyone have first hand experience with attempting to hammer out door panel dents? My thought was strip the panel and start pounding but this might be beyond the point of saving and easier to find a door via jy....I can just see the crinkled can effect already! Past body work experience extends as far as a flat panel cj not the curvatures of a zj. My other thought was oh shucks and just run it but kind of hard to explain to wife seeing as it happened on a boys weekend
