If it's just a light oil film, the plenum is either fine or not bad enough to need replacing. If you want to test it better, disconnect the PCV line and crankcase breather hose. Start the engine. Hold your thumb over the end of the breather hose (the one that goes to the airbox) for about 3 seconds and then release it. If it builds pressure, the plenum is good. If it builds vacuum, the plenum is leaking. After the test, shut the engine down and reconnect both hoses.

I'm doing that when I get home from my business trip this weekend. I did my plenum plate and gasket last summer. I'm curious how it's holding up. I got one of them fancy 1/4" aluminum plates 'cause I'm cool like that.

Not today, but for the last 5 days, drove the ZJ from SC to NY, drove around there and back to SC...1800 miles. First big trip since I got it 3 years ago not running and looking pretty bad. Sad thing is I got hit by a car that had a blow-out up in Pa on I-81. Body shop tomorrow...her insurance has "accepted" responsibility for the damages.

I got a new drill press. So I made brackets out of structural C-channel for the front bumper/winch plate. Just got dome welding on the nuts.

Excited to finish but I've gotta go on a measly date.

HAHAHAAA. Jeep first. Girlfriend later?

'03 WRX. Her brother drives a newer STi, mother a Forester, but her dad refuses anything except German built turbo diesels. Owns three Mercedes from decades ago.

I owned an 87 Subaru Legacy. Will buy another when the time comes I need a new car. Lifetime warranty on the Challenger has me for now.

no tow hooks... one had a hitch but no way to get it off unless i had some help and some jack stands (the rims it was propped up on were right under the hitch in the back)
pulled a headlight switch (the dash light dimmer on mine occasionally needs a smack) and a rear wiper motor

BTW i found that the driveshaft from a 2WD ZJ will work just fine to hold the liftgate up if the supports are shot
Mine is like all 2wd ZJs
There are 8...., only one v8
It had been converted to 242
Been in a wreak and junked
I got the bezel

Anybody want to buy some Vic cubbys
