Got the engine/steering skid on. Tried to to the transfer case skid but couldn't come up with a method to bolt it to the frame. It ended up pissing me off, taking way to much time... but that's how it happens sometimes.

I can't figure this thing out for the life of me, wish I knew what it was b/c you almost need 2 hands to pull the handle it's adjusted so tight. Spent 3 hours yesterday trying to get this thing to work.
not to second guess your work but did you adjust the actual break shoes

Lucas fuel injector cleaner and 3/4 tank of gas. I had 69 miles on the Jeep since June, and over 20 of that was yesterday after I finally got my cooling issue (somewhat) solved.

Flushed the heck out of the cooling system to dislodge heater core guts and move 'em out, then I had to switch back to my mechanical fan while I wait for the temp probe to get here from DC Controls. The one I have is floppy at the end, so I'm sure it's been moved around too much.

Hand throttle can be quite nice when you're working brakes and clutch at the same time.

M10x1.5 13.5mm hole nutserts. Don't get rivnuts, get a nutsert you can hammer in. I've got a few extra ones here that I used for mine. That's what the factory used.

Here are some pics of the paint, they're not the best, cloudy and cold today. Ignore the open seams in the bumper, I'm not done filling it all in yet. I just wanted to get the bare steel covered until I have time to finish it all up.

Emissions test passed - total PITA!

Drove up, the kid looks at the tires shaking his head. I tell him "website says 34" is your limit, these are 33s". He says okay. Fast forward to the next kid...he puts it on the dyno, drops the bar, scratches his head, looks at the tire size. Goes for the carbon copy paper and puts some chicken scratch on it. Tires too big to test....grrrrrrrr

High-tail it home, fire up the compressor and pull the 33s. Swap them with the 31s - on the rear only. Thank you 242 transfer case and your 2WD mode

Pull back in 15 minutes before they close, apologize to the kid I yelled at because he turned me away for tires too big. Karma, you know.

Throttle-Jockey has to try TWICE to actually drive the Jeep within their speed curve on the dyno. He finally gets it right.

The techs pull forward to do the gas cap test and stuff, that guy spent more time inspecting my STOCK exhaust with the mirror than a supermodel spends doing her makeup. I swear that guy WANTED me to fail because he was kept past closing time. I think he was disappointed that everything was intact. While he was doing that, the throttle jockey in the car behind me messed up (front wheel drive) and made the car look like a ping pong ball in the dyno...same turkey that couldn't figure out my apparently stiff gas pedal.

End result? Good for another 2 years, and I'll make sure to drive past their silly roadside testers as much as humanly possible in 2013. I hate the dyno e-tests we have here.

Meanwhile, the Jeep looks like a goober-mobile with 33s on the front with black Cragar Soft-8s, 31" street meats with stock rims on the rear. I'll change back to the 33s before the weekend.
