Can you elaborate on this? I have a car that is having some pesky window problems. Haha.

On topic: I drove it to my buddies rescue who had a flat tire and somehow had managed to lose his spare jack.

Was talkin to the guy I bought my zj off of. He just sold his jk. He said he wants a cj or an xj to build. I talked him into a zj. And then talked him into putting the 12v cummins and built 47re in it. Don't know how he's gonna do it but he probably will. Haha. D60s and 37s and some tube work.

I drove it, like I always do. But what I didn't do is changed heater core! I did purchase it from Advance for $50, and it is technically in my Jeep. Still in the box sitting on the passenger seat...

I can't stand Christmas shopping and malls and the wife made me get my hair cut.
Rant over

Heater Core is a ****ty job but well worth it at this time of year.

If you do it the quick way it shouldn't take you more than 4 hours.

I have a bad wire to trace down and some and some wire to run for accessory switches for the future so I'm removing the whole dash. Also i don't want to cut the heat box.

The window regulators in our ZJ's have plastic rollers on little pegs which are considered an un-serviceable part. So when the $.02 plastic roller cracks and falls off, you have to replace the entire $50 regulator (and that's the price without the motor). Someone worked out a way to use a couple bucks worth of shower rollers to replace them.

There is a decent write up here: http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f13/b...ix-you-902285/

I've got some tips to make this process faster and easier but they're pretty ZJ specific.

After going 8 months with zero sway bars and a Lincoln locked 35, I finally gave in and put the front swaybar back! I figured since I currently can't use 4wd I'd make it somewhat street able! Dear god! What a difference!!!

Forgetting my cotter pins at the start of a 40 mile trail and driving back on a very windy desert highway(70mph) was enough for me. What a clencher that was!

I did find the cotter pins the next day though!

I drove my zj to town the other day after wheeling with the end links off. I think it rides a lot better other than body roll in corners. It eats bumps like nothing. We're as connected it rides like a dump truck. I'm reall thinking abut just taking the front sway bar off. I never go over about 60. I drive back roads at 50 or less and never drive highway.

went out to berryville va to pick up my buddy for the weekend and had open highway on the way home with mile long straightaways and i had one of those... "Hey dude, do you think this thing could hit 100?" moments. broad daylight, dry, no traffic, first time doing it, still not safe at all. would never do it again. but... i think i popped a chubby holding 4500 rpms @ 104 mph. this thing is a tank and never ceases to amaze me.

Bent the (sub)frame rail! Smashed the belly into a ledge. Think if that skid plate wasn't there I drove the ZJ 3 hours south, beat the crap out of her on the trails from 11 until about 8 at night, and then drove 3 hours back with slightly worse bump steer. I love this machine! Stands up to crazy abuse and STILL gets the groceries!

Last time I tried that I reached terminal velocity a little before 100. And that was before my 33's, and I think it was kind of windy too. The lights and my roof rack create quite the wind sail.

Got it to 93 once, but there was too much traffic to try for any faster...

I should add that I was also maintaining that speed... Had to get to edmonton in a hurry...
