Mine has speed sensitive wipers that suck. I wish it had non speed sensitive wipers.

My wife dis the same thing to herself after I put in the 242. She called me like "soooooo how many clicks is it to full-time 4wd?" I laughed so hard when she came clean. I Still don't have the right indicator.

Saw this today and thought I'd share for all those interested in front tow points ...

Pretty good price for what you get. I love mine.

If at first you don't succeed, use more speed.

Picked up my shortened drive shaft. I only had about 1 inch removed, so it should be perfect now!

I've already blown a seal on it, and I couldn't even service it myself! It's a 2wd, but if I wanted to convert it to 4wd I'd have to get a whole new computer and rewire it vs. just throwing a transfercase on and drilling a hole for the shifter.

I'd like to think that since it says Jeep on it, it'd last forever. With proper care, I'm sure it would... but is it worth it when the major components start failing?

Both of these posts pretty much sum up why I dislike newer vehicles, and the argument I was making about the WK2. If you want to go buy one and run it, good luck! I am sure it will be a great daily driver for years to come, but don't expect to get super technical and do intense DIY projects on it unless you've got a wallet filled with cash.

And my point is, the ZJ was the same way 20 years ago, but now, 20 years later, I'm able to buy what was once a $30,000 high-end midsize SUV for $1200. They were expensive way back when but they're cheap now. I foresee the same fate for the WK2.

So anyway, last night we had our first freeze and all the cabin lights that worked intermittently started working stably (thermal expansion?) and I found out the overhead console has an Ice warning.

Walked out to start it up this morning and there's a small leak of green fluid from the front. All the hoses are dry, as are the overflows, so why is there antifreeze on my driveway? Odder, still, the leak has stopped, it's got plenty of fluid in the cooling system, and it never even reaches 210. I am confuse.

Also check the rad cap. Mine was pissing after a drive right out of the side. It wasn't seating in the rad properly. Another thing to check would be small cracks in the rad itself that would leak after you turned it off but very hard to locate the source. I had to pull the front off to find that one because it looked like it was coming from the petcock valve.

Today I mounted a small fire extinguisher in the cargo area just in case! Hoping I won't ever have to use it, but it's a good thing to have.

Got my overhead console working after being inspired by a previous post. Took the console down, found some wires that weren't plugged in so I plugged them in. Everything works now. Sometimes its just something stupid...duh.
