Grr....so my totaled ZJ that required $500 in parts and some sweat... until I told discount body parts that I lived in Alaska. So... fix my jeep that runs and drives "ok" or get another ZJ for $4200, a WJ for $5000, and I'm waiting to hear back about a Niner.

Dilema

Any jeep without straight front and rear axle's isn't a jeep in my book. And also, see what that wk2 looks like when it's as old as current ZJ's. It will most likely be in the junk yard. New grands are crap. You'll never see as many high mile Grand Cherokee as the ZJ's. Guaranteed.

Some people...
Mine was also disgusting, maybe not quite that bad, but the PO had a ****ing dog that shed hair everywhere. I found dog treats in the weirdest places two months after getting the damn thing. Also stank of smoke, some small burn holes. 2 carpet shampoos, a steam clean, and countless vacuums later and she's clean enough for me... Absolutely disgusting how some people treat their vehicles.

It is disgusting and I don't understand how people can drive in a filthy car...even when I had my pos Nissan I kept it spotless cause I just don't feel comfortable driving in a dirty car

I had a swifter duster in the door in my WJ and a detailing brush hung from the visor. It got vacuumed weekly. It was always spotless. The new Jeep will get there... Eventually.

Anything with a J, 2 e's, and a p on the hood is a Jeep. You don't like it, lump it.

You want my bet? WK2s will outlast ZJs. If a ZJ makes it to 25, a WK2 kept in the same condition will make it 35. Technology, man. It improves reliability as time goes on.

Besides, saying something has to be ancient to be good is ridiculous. It doesn't need beam axles or pig iron to do stuff. I suggest you watch what a WK2 can do. I was shocked when I saw it wheeling. It just stays completely composed. Doesn't break a sweat. No drama.

On topic, I drove it all over the place, burned the rest of the gas in the world (gentlemen, I'm sorry. I drove us to peak oil), and dragged the Saturn up the driveway because dad blew a tire and its knocking engine doesn't make enough power to back up the driveway with a de-beaded tire. Whoo, tow chain.

Try Brake Kleen on the carpet for the stains. Sounds odd I know but I am in the process of cleaning out a 98 Lincoln Continental I bought cheap as my daughter is driving my ZJ for a bit. It took TONS of crap off the carpets, much better than any carpet cleaners I have used in the past.
