What is it with shops and welding stuff on backwards? My old Jimmy had the cat and muffler replaced by the PO at one point and they were both installed backwards. The leaky CPI caused fuel in the exhaust to ignite and blow the cat off. I bet that was cool. Todd4198's ZJ has a backwards muffler installed by the PO. Go figure.
Maybe with the muffler because there's two exhaust set ups for zjs. One has center inlet with offset outlet and one with offset inlet and center outlet depending on if it was put together in Australia or America.
i let my brother drive my jeep( ZJ) and he smashed into a huge fallen tree laying across the road less than a mile from the house.
And that is why I don't let anybody else drive my zj.
My idea of modification is usually if you don't like it, tear it off.
'95 Jeep ZJ Laredo 4.0i6, 42re, np231, 2" BB.
not a jeep but traded a jeep cj-5 for it... 2009 Kawasaki Ninja 500r. (for saving gas... and fun...)
Got my busted power steering box out and quickly realized it wasn't worth the effort/was borderline impossible to reuse the old pulley. So now I have a new one on order and the ZJ is out of service until it gets here -frustration-.
Got 8 qts of ATF +4 and a new filter and gasket for the trans. Got four containers of 75w 90 for both diffs. And the guy at advanced told me 70w90 or 75w 90 for the d35 so I got 75 w 90 for that. If I feel like it when I get off work tonight I will start on that stuff
Changed oil and filter today, castorl gta high mileage 10w-30, purealator pro filter. Getting ATF +4 tomorrow for trans and t case, diff fluid and probably diff cover gaskets. Dad told me that my birthday and Christmas present is 3.5 in foundation kit :thumbs up: he said 400$ with upgraded shocks before jf discount isn't bad at all. Then I'll get front adj arms from my grand parents. Finally getting somthin sweet for it
You are going to want/need adjustable front trackbar too. It comes with the benchmark kit and I also added adjustable rear trackbar to my lift.
