Bought it a new starter because I had to hit it this morning. Hopefully will have time to change it tomorrow. For now I gotta wooden stick to do the job
So what I thought was a starter yesterday, it wasn't. Starter turns just fine. Investigated more today and it's actually my cps. Because I get power to my coil but then it goes away. Is that a correct diagnosis? Stop gonna swap my 175k mile starter anyways while I'm under there.
I saw the pictures, glad to hear everyone is ok, And that the truck isn't a total loss. Good luck on the repairs!
My wife and I carved pumpkins tonight, and we have 2 more to carve tomorrow night. Unfortunately our "innocent little dog" ate the middle of mine before I could take a picture... Now I know better for tomorrow!
Better do the trans mount too unless you want the new MM to wear out faster.
Yea I planned on it I've just had the motor mounts sitting around for quite some time went to get an alignment and the pointed out how mangled the driver side mount was trans mount sometime early this week
Finished what I started yesterday. Installed new trans output seal and tcase input seals got it all put back together. Did the trans filter and fluid change at the same time. No more transmission leak.
yesterday left to go home at about midnight and on my way the heater didnt want to work. so i figured it was the broke blend air door giving me crap.... then got on the highway and the temp started to climb. 210, 220, 230..... the whole time im yelling "how is this possible!" since its freezing outside. anyway pulled over and steam came rolling out of the hood... upper radiator hose split and fell off spraying coolant everywhere. so i limped home. then took my brothers jeep to go back to town the next day to get a new hose and thermostat. got home and after a few hours of flushing out the block in freezing weather i turn the key and the ABS light is now back on....... i just fixed that! ... so i fixed that by pulling the bulb in the cluster .
so far... all is well.
My idea of modification is usually if you don't like it, tear it off.
'95 Jeep ZJ Laredo 4.0i6, 42re, np231, 2" BB.
not a jeep but traded a jeep cj-5 for it... 2009 Kawasaki Ninja 500r. (for saving gas... and fun...)
You buying or selling? I'd say that's a decent deal if you're selling it. If your buying it all, a junkyard is your best friend.
Ah good to hear, I'm the seller. The people said they may return a couple parts if they're not needed and ask for some money back though... Normally I wouldn't do that, but one of 'em stood around in the cold and rain and helped me take some stuff off the other day.
