Went puddle running in an old parking lot this morning just quick on my way home.

Then I cleaned up my cargo space, got rid of a lot of junk, and picked up some small bottles of diff oil, ATF4, and a bottle of coolant to keep in there. I figure if I'm driving/wheeling and I need something, I'll be okay this way. The bag is full of tools and I always carry a socket set.

Then I finished installing my rugged ridge tow hooks. I'm still a bit on the fence about not having any backing plates, but Summit is supposed to ship me the washers that I didn't receive in the kit that will ease my mind when I get them on.

Tried to get some friends together to go wheeling quick but everybody was at work/school, which is why I hate having days off in the middle of the week

It was quite nice to just have a day where I could work on the ZJ and just take my time. I swear I love this thing more and more every day.

Had to pickup my buddies stock car trailer from the side of the interstate, because his fuel pump went out. As you can see the Jeep does not appove of hauling all that weight in the rear.

I've been thinking about doing mine that way too because I'm tired of loosing them on the trails. I wasn't for sure how its look, but it looks great! I know they don't offer a ton of protection, but that another concern of mine.

Why would you take a Jeep off the road for winter?

I need a reliable DD. The ZJ needs a lot of work. So I bought the XJ. With the XJ on the road, the ZJ parts will last longer.

I got to drive it!!!

I think the PO let it sit for a while. As I drove it, the squeeks, rattles and clanks seemed to work themselves out. By the time I got home, the suspension was quiet, alternator stopped rattling, exhaust wasn't clanking, and the engine got smoother. I watched my fuel economy drop from 9.8 to around 8.0, then work it's way back up to 10.0. Still think the engine needs a tune up, but I want to work on some of the interior, and getting the rest of the fluids changed first. Then I'll start tuning the engine and looking into the plenum.

Don't worry, all of that will come back sooner or later.
