As some of you may know, I was an idiot and wrecked my Grand Cherokee 5.9.

So what did I do to it today?

Found a possible replacement for it! Another Deep Slate 5.9! For 1300! And I have the perfect parts car, mine! Going to check it out asap.

I spent 2 days on mine...

Started with a big hammer
Tried torching it and heating it up
Tried the hammer again
Went and bought a pitman arm puller, didn't work

Ended up getting a garage to do it for $30 after spending 4-5 hours on it. They even had trouble, had to cut the bolt, told me I would have never got it out manually.

Finally identified the source of a grinding sort of noise I've been getting as nothing more than the roof rack.

I tried removing that tapered bolt on a TJ before, and broke my puller. Pounded, hammered, everything. If I tried again, I would likely try the BFH method again, pounding on the side a few times first. I doubt that would work, though. Every time I replaced the stabilizer, I just reused the old tapered shaft.

well today I was having a little bit of a lead foot, and my tires were a little wet so those two mixed lead to spinning the tires out of the parking lot, and I've got the 5.2 all time 4x4. so after a pretty good burnout for awd, it took off then downshifted and bounced off the rev limiter pretty bad, scared the crap out of me to be honest. this ever happen to anyone?

So when the tires started slipping and you held the gas down? Yes, the revs will climb high enough to hit the rev limiter, and when you get traction, that awd is going to make you rocket forward.

well I kept the gas down then it caught traction and made me launch forward but it didn't bounce off the rev limiter while spinning the tires. it spin them, then launched forward and downshifted then bounced off the rev limiter

My muffler fell apart today. Sounds like a large and angry chainsaw.

I just turned up the radio.

Decided to part it out. I am fed up with my lemon. I contacted someone about a 98 4.0 on CL. SUPER clean and only 130K. We'll see if I can haggle him down. Going to start tearing apart Stella this weekend hopefully. Anybody have a recommendation on how to get the car onto a flatbed after i sell the axles and wheels? I dont want to drag it since we rent and I dont want to f-up the cement. Just sawzall whats left?

I haven't been able to get mine to downshift to hit rev limiter. Then again I don't do burnouts in my all time 4wd zj except for in mud
