They are inside the springs..yes they raise with more air. I thing they are more load height...like for when pulling a trailer

Since I last posted in here, Rough Country spring swap for 4" lift, custom rear bumper with storage for chain, mounted Big Sky Gun rack (had to fab a bracket to get it to fit on the roof in the back and replace the rear lower control arms.

Newby with first Jeep!

well yesterday.... my day started out with a trip to the junkyard.... picked up a trans mount, tcase skid off a v8, and an intake off a 2000 xj anybody wanna guess how much i paid???? got home and my bellhousing is cracked on the trans (have had to baby it since i did the motor swap) and found a bolt fell out, so after making 2 or three trips and my buddy coming over to help and we couldnt get the bolt through. the little guide pin was stopping it from going in so i said F it, ill push the jeep back and start on the balljoints. well when we first pushed it back i guess it was still in gear..... torqued the motor and all and i noticed something fell. it was a guide pin.... SO i pushed the motor up a little and pulled the other one out and got that tight.... cool that took untill about 5 pm. then we spend about 3 hours getting the passenger side ball joints swapped what a pain inthe dick!!! then i figure well weve got the idea of how to do it so lets knock out the driver side atleast ball joints and iw ould do the u-joint today and be done and head down to VA..... WELL!!!! the castle nuts on the balljoints WILL NOT BREAK LOOSE! i tried an adjustable, socket wrench. i cant get anything on it. also the 2 of 3 hub bolts are out... cool right? the top one i bet a wrench trying to break it loose and now i can see the head start to turn.... im contemplating on just snapping the head getting the damn thing out and figure it out, but im not going to be home for 4 weeks.... so yesterday results were


picked up 00 intake, tcase skid and a trans mount for 30 bucks
replaced both ball joints on passenger side
and gave up on 2 stuck nuts and a damn near snapped head from a hub.... idk what to do now.

1998 ZJ~~V.r 4~~4.0 with a bunch of fancy stuff that makes it look pretty sitting in the driveway.

On my way to steak dinner at a friends house he called and said his wife had a flat tire behind the Excalibur casino in the TJ. We were right there so We took the exit to change it for here. I had adjusted the TV cable to give it firmer shifts earlier. Apparently it did not like this because when I punched it to get ahead of a dick head in a van that wasn't going to move over it dropped out of gear and just revved forcing me to cut him off instead. Oh well. Then when we got to her to swap the tire she was parked in the median of a busy road. As I was changing the tire with A-hole Vegas drivers flying by me head 2 feet away I notice my rad is pissing coolant. What great luck! Though it was the lower hose because it's the only one I have not swapped out yet. The leak stopped and later I figured out it was the rad cap had some smutz on the seal not not allowing to close all the way. Problem solved. I returned the TV cable back to the stock setting. That problem is solved. It used to do the same thing when the Gov pressure sensor was bad and I messed with the tv cable. Anyone else's 46RE that finicky with the TV cable setting?

Going to go to menards and get all the wire connectors I need. As they are 97 cents and ace there like 12$ for the same thing. Then going to probably get 50 ft of black 14 ga

That sounds like mine before I crashed it. Adjusted the TV cable and the shifts were perfect under medium and hard throttle, but when going easy on it, it would hold second gear until like 2800 rpm and then launch me into third.

Changed out the o rings on the filter adapter,got rid of the aftermarket oil pressure sending unit{now reads where it originally did], oil and filter,emptied pwr strg pump resevoir and added new fluid,topped off trans fluid. Next weekend drain coolant fresh antifreeze and distilled water. While I was under it I spied something odd laying between the motor mount and mount brackett that look like a distributor hold down clamp for a v8,lol. I have the 4.0,so I just wonder if it has been in there since the Jeep was made.

I still need to replace the fuse that blew again for my fog lights

I have had a slow radiator leak that i found in 12/2010. I bought a brand new radiator, water pump and upper/lower radiator hoses and still haven't changed out my leaky radiator. It only leaks in the winter time. So I need to go add some coolant to my reservoir tank.

While I'm doing the radiator I will add on my Trans cooler

Built a roof rack out of 1'' emt with 3/4'' crossbars and mounted lights to it. Cant put it on till the paint is dry.

Downgraded my lift to @2". Just don't have the time or money to do it the way I want to, so it'll stay like this until I have a second vehicle and can afford to leave this in the garage if I have to. It is still a jeep, and I do intend to use it as such.

I finally found one after looking in the junkyard for the past 4 or 5 months.
Sometimes it's the little things that bring us the most joy.
Isn't this little red plastic LED cover beautiful.



They had a few ZJ's there this time and I also pulled a front wheel well plastic piece and a hard to find upper radiator seal.
Thinking about going back and pulling one of the rear inside plastic side covers.

Only those who will risk going too far
can possibly find out how far one can go.
