Drove it. Today was the odz jeep jam where all the jeepers meet at the Chrysler dealer. Than go to an off road place around here. I had to miss it due to work. But as I was going in to town all the other jeeps were leaving. Everything from stock to wild was there. Zjs,xjs, yj,tjs, jks, and a few wjs and not one of them waved to my little old zj goin the other day. Except for a brand spanking new wk2 covered in mud

I picked up an oil pan gasket and a new rear main seal from Advance today. My brother-in-law works there and gave them to me for commercial cost. I also BSed with another guy there about Jeeps for a while. He's doing a straight trade with his lifted Bronco for a stock 95 XJ.

Painted my stock wheels and put them on with some new stock tires. Got rid of the DW, thank God...the others I had must've been worse than I thought. Think I am going to scale back my lift, maybe remove it completely, and run stock until I can do a 6.5" lift the right way. The 3.5" rough country budget lift isn't cutting it.

I (gasp) lowered it from 4 plus down to 3" It rides waaaay better. I put stock XJ? fronts in the back and took out the rough riding Upcounty coils. Up front I just lowered the ACOS down to nothing, wich is 1.25" plus the 2" or so I get from the 3" Rusty's XJ lift coils. What a difference. Never again will I go any higher withought long arms.

I re soldered the solder joints in the head light controls. Took the roughest road home from the farm today. And not once did the gauge lights flicker.

Wasn't fond of the spare tire in the basket on the roof. Found this hinged, hitch mounted tire carrier with a "D" ring on craigslist for $80. Also fixed the air lines to the Firestone airbags that I found installed when i bought the ZJ.

Can you adjust the ride height with them? And that tire carrier is awesome.
