These came today. Spacers should be here tomorrow.

And I did this:

to see if I could (plus it was a bit muddy and I wanted to get her a bit dirty)

And I saw this bad boy

Make my newly-tall ZJ feel short again.

Did the front brakes on my 98. Passenger side went pretty easy, but not so on the drivers side. Found the splash shield that covers the back of the rotor is rusted off, and the back of the rotor is open, and the holes for the caliper were helicoiled. not liking that to much, but it's done.

Dropped the Tranny " PAN " and changed the filter, didn't adjust the bands, that's for another episode with the ZJ. Man that fluid looked DIRTY, guess I sould have changed all the fluid, but it shifts good, . Looked at the transfer case it's got a 249 J.

Did the TJ fuel door mod. Went to pick up take out and the little hottie at the window said my Jeep was awesome. Then found a small coolant leak when I got home. 2 out of 3 ain't bad!

I like that fuel door mod. Will have to do that one, too.

What did I do? Cursed. Lots. Smashed a thumb. Cursed more. Thought I was going to break my breaker bar. Watched a 1.5" thick, 6' long prybar flex under load.
And still didn't get any closer to getting the nut off.

Just adjusted it and OMG! Runs totally different. Pulls hard through all the gears and shifts smoothly now. My little 4.0 actually feels like it has some balls now!
