that looks kind of scary..hows it all tied in? i wouldnt trust pulling off a shackle thats on a plate just tapped into another piece of metal no matter how thick the metal is.

my 17" moabs came in today at work..now just gotta sell the 31s and ravines and ill throw on the adapters and probably going to just run some street tires for now since im hoping next year the zj will be my bros and ill have an xj to swap the other xjs parts to.

It bolted to the winch mount, the tab also has bolt in it and welded, what looks scary about that?

from what i read, it sounded like the plate the tab was welded too was just mounted to the winch plate and the two bolts were just threaded in..aka first recovery it would rip out the threads and the d-ring would go flying. but i get it now.

No I will take a pic tomorrow with it off. But the 1/4" plate bolts to mount with two grade 8 bolts washers and nuts. then I drilled the plate out so I could use grade8 bolt from the back into the tab and also weld the tab so tab is bolted and welded to plate and then the plate bolts to winch mount.

Well I guess I would not call it exciting, but.... I fixed the driver rear power window, apparently the track bushings were broke, so instead of taking the whole track out and putting in one of the spares, I just took the bushing off a spare and figured a way to get em in there and snap everything back together.
Then my radio hasn't worked so I figured it was the antenna mast, and I did not have a spare, but I had a spare internal antenna wire, so I connected the two and ran them under the floor board. Now I had radio. YAY!
Then I found one of my 10 speakers was not working, so I had to take the door apart and fix that.
Ah so glad it warmed up to 70 degrees today to get some things done. Next... sun roof...

Last night I changed my coil, put on my 136 amp alternator, and tinted my signal lamps up front. The lamps could have turned out a lot better; they're not done yet because of that. I'm going to sand and clear them before they go on there. I picked up the extra set at my local Pick N Pull. I also just about sh*t myself when I saw a pretty clean 5.9 there. The grille was gone though... I would have paid whatever they wanted for that. The shift lever, parking brake, and TC shifter were pretty worn so I didn't worry about getting them. I did get the turn signal lamps from it though...

Good news is the new motor is going in my Celica tomorrow so I will have a ride. Now just have to save up for a transmission and torque converter and the Jeep should be back on the road. I was planing on parking it when I got the Celica fixed and fixing her up. She needs a lot of TLC.

Installed a new rack for my M110. also got a bottle of seafoam... This weekend I am getting my tail lights and headlights installed. Now searching for a good inexpensive 2-2.5in lift. and a set of wheels and 31s for my ZJ.
