Not really making enough money to think about upgrades or even repairs... $500 winter beater is more in my price range at the moment
How bads the jeep?

Well it was a side impact in to a tree, so it's not too good but the damage is isolated to the driver's side (from driver's door to the back). Doesn't start, but the engine cranks, all my electrical seems fine, no fuel leaking anywhere. But it got hit pretty hard so it's probably not "straight" anymore. I need to find a cheap Limited 5.2 to swap my engine and tranny

That sucks. Especially since it was a niner. Mint 5.2s are a dime a dozen around here. If course that's after I buy my rusted 4.0 and have no money for a 5.2

Yeah, I'm waiting for a 5.2 with a ****ed up engine and/or transmission to find its way on to kijiji and be cheap. I have a 5.9 overhaul waiting for it...

Just sucks when you've finally got a little money saved up to work on/bond with your Jeep, then you wreck it.

That's where I was when I rear ended a Mazda at the beginning of the summer. 300$ in parts maybe more. First weekend I drive it. Hood flips up going home from work. Another 70$ with that bought cloth seats that I consider an upgrade because my heated leather didn't work. And that would have been h*** so now I'm finally saving for a lift. Have tires to put on after I lift it.

Replaced my water pump. First one I've had to do. Turned out to be pretty easy. Made a mess out of the coolant tho lol and had to go to Harbor Freight to get a big f***** wrench for the nut on the fan assembly. Was easy to get it off tho, I didn't have to really hold the water pump pulley or anything like that to get it off so that was cool. Good to go now.

I had the same rack on mine as well... It didn't grow on me, so back in the basement it went.
