IR to RF locking conversion

Today I converted my remote door locking over to the RF system from a 96 LHS. I used the awesome write up on this thread: http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f13/i...ersion-676076/
It worked perfect on the first try. It took me about 2hrs. I took my time and did it very carefully. A big thank you to Marcos, who posted the write up.

I decided to wheel the ZJ for a little bit today. I had some fun and kept it pretty clean. It's been pretty dry here lately. I then went shopping with it and got blocked by some dude in a Malibu when I was leaving the Walmart parking lot. Instead of waiting and missing a light cycle or two, I urban wheeled the ZJ over a pretty massive curb to get around him. It turned out to be a car full of old folks. Each one gave me a death stare for what I did. I at least made the light and didn't get into any legal trouble for my antics. Normally, I don't do stuff like that, but I really hate sitting in that lot, in traffic, waiting for 2 or 3 long light cycles before I can head home.

Installed the headlight relay harness I bought a month ago. Installed a headlight switch pod w/fogs, along with the relay and new fog bulbs.

Got my kargo Master Safari rack installed today, I'm not sure what to think just yet, I'm sure it will grow on me with time.

Added air to the tires. 2-3 PSI all the way around. It's getting colder, I'll have to do this 2-3 more times by Dec.

When you're driving 300 miles a week at 65 MPH it makes a real difference!

Bought a head lamp to keep in it for at work with it getting dark early and the tractor I drive has no lights on it.

Took her home

Drove down to NJ and bought my first ZJ then trailered her back home and now doing research on lift kits and tires and trying to figure out what maintenance needs to be performed. She has 269,000 miles, engine was replaced approx 70k ago and transmission and rest of drive train is original as far as i know...

any suggestions???

Just think. Jeeps can be replaced or rebuilt. Can't do that with people. Hope everyone involved is okay. And crashing and being able to repair is great time for an upgrade or two along the way.

Thanks for the words! And yeah, it was just myself and a tree. Tree's a bit scratched and bruised, luckily I'm neither. Just sucks because it was my first and only vehicle, and it's another 5.9 off the roads. Not really making enough money to think about upgrades or even repairs... $500 winter beater is more in my price range at the moment
