Making a winch plate as a bumper base. 4" C-channel and plate from Speedymetals.com -$40 shipped. Winch plate from harbor freight -$44. So for less than $100 I'll have a stronger than snot winch plate.

Just getting an IDE here, going to see how much I can trim and recess the winch plate.

Parked it beside the first orvis I've seen in person. I felt slightly embarassed, followed by jealousy. The owner caught me lookin at his suspension and said is that your jeep beside me? Why is it lower than mine?

Those look like crap IMO. I don't even think you can get scrap value for those. You can bring them to my house and I will get rid of them for you.

4"x1.78"x1/4". I'm boxing it all in and adding a receiver. The winch plate sits at exactly the same height as the RC winch mount, just more easily engineered.
