After fighting to reuse my existing exhaust after fixing my Cat I gave up. Then the wife shows up with a new Thrush muffler. I'm going to abandon the old tail pipe too and just add a down turn tip straight off the muffler. I re used the rear exhaust hanger and welded it onto the end of the muffler then drilled and bolted it through the floor under the rear passenger seat.

Here's how it sounds...

^I6? No offense implied, but it sounds ricey at higher RPM. Had the issue with my XJ, though under load it was a lot better.

If its a V8 then I'd suspect the camera's audio quality to be the issue.

I had one of those on an I6, & as soon as I put it on & drove it around the block I went home & took it off. It sounded horrible, so I'm also hoping his is a V8 & the camera audio is to blame....

OT: Finished up the Monstaliner exterior project. Will hopefully have some pics posted if everything gets put back together tomorrow.

Lol it's a 4.0, but it does cause the mic pickup to crackle I should have had it further away. I havn't tried under load or with the tip. I gotta fill it with trans fluid, and install the air filter, then we're taking it to Uwharrie tomorrow morning.

I'm still not sure if I'll keep it on, I'll post more videos from the trail tomorrow. I may also put my new cat on. The current one is empty...

Its really a 3 process step.

you need the followign grits. 1000, 1500 and 2000

Get a bucket of hot water and throw in a couple sheets of the above grits and let soak for 15 mins.

Start with the 1000 grit and wet sand the headlight going from right to left and left to right motion. Do that till the water starts to run clear

Next take the 1500 grit and go up and down, down and up motion, again do that till the water runs clear.

Final step, take the 2000 grit and go up and down, down and up again till it runs clear.

At this time your headlight will be super smooth, but at the same time VERY DULL..

Now you'll need to polish it, I use Meguiars PlastiX cleaner. this polishes it right up.

Hope this helps

Well getting it ready for saftey so....
New front rotors EBC USR black dash rotors
Front Pads EBC Green stuff 7000
Rear rotors are just premum blanks
Rear Pads EBC Green stuff 6000
New parking brake shoes and springs
Replaced both front sway bar end links
Left rear wheel bearing and seal
change both diff fluids to Royal Purple 75W140

Tomorrow think I will change the oil and transfer case fluids as well. That is all I need for saftey and should have things going in the right direction. If nothing else it sure will stop good!!!

Bought a new u-joint for my front driveshaft. Might as well replace it now.

Also, bought an 83.5 inch long serpentine belt to bypass the a/c. Had a bypass pulley on there from AAP, but it squeals like a mofo when its cold. I was gonna buy an 83 inch belt, but I guess they dont make one that length with 7 ribs.

Finally changed out the heater core.. Not a difficult job by any means.. Just time consuming. But I didn't have to pull out the box. Just cut the old cores pipes. The new heater core pipes were moveable. So I just cut a notch in the side of the box so I get it in the box.. Forgot to take a pic of the old core. leaky leaky.. Didn't run the lines or anything yet since I bypassed it a few months back.

Got the parking brake shoes on so I can feel a lil better taking the drive shafts off.

Also got the engine hoist to the house. ready to pull the motor and get the rest of the stuff off it and cleaned up. I'm also kicking around the idea of painting the new motor.....I'm taking sugestions on a color?, I have no imagination at all....ext. is red and grey.
