Power splitter in the counsel was an epic fail. Going to get another counsel and try something different.

Re making the bracket for the power splitter. Going much better. Completely different design as well. What I'm doing is mount it horizontal. In the center counsel still. But just take and make one side bend it down around the body of the unit it's self and then back and I will screw it into te plastic. Vary sturdy plastic so it should hold well with being pushed against to get a charger in the ports. Have one side done. Going to start the other side. And I'm getting a new center counsel Tuesday if I'm not working. Will keep you Gus posted through this.

Brackets done. Paint drying right now. Tonight I will hack up my old counsel and see how it looks. Then will do the final install on a new counsel. Pics to come.

Upgraded the system. As in doubled my wattage from 1000 to 2000. It's a mismatched system but it's all good stuff and sound absolutely amazing. Nice n crisp as well as ground shaking. I love it.

Here are some specs.

-Pioneer Head Unit
-1000 Watt Eclipse 2 Channel
-1000 watt Crunch 2 Channel
-2 12" Pheonix Gold Xmaxx
-Ported Sub Enclosure
-2 Gauge Kicker Amp Kit
-4 Gauge from distributor block to Amp

Next to come, the big 3 upgrade, high output alternator and a yellow top optima

I run a yellow top Optima in my Caprice. I like it.

On topic, I cleaned all the mud off the ZJ from yesterday. It had to be close to the dirtiest I've had it. I was covered in mud by the time I was done and I clogged the drain at the carwash. Normally, I clean up the bay when I'm done, but I couldn't get the water to go down the drain. I did get all the mud off the walls in there though.

All done. Yes I am getting a new center counsel and actually a new plug. This one was kinda a test dummy. A lot more of an extensive project than I thought. But well worth it. It sticks out about a 1/2in from te counsel. And a buddy of mine is power coating the brackets black.
