What is "Cop Mode" on a 5.9 Limited
I was looking at an ad for a 5.9 limited, and it mentioned the ECM was set to Police Mode.
What and how is this activated? does it give any better performance?
On this thought, are there any "other" modes that can be triggered, like "dont cost the earth in gas mode"? or "Go link stink when i want, but run on fumes"

Police mode on most police cars just means you can shut off all of the interior lights when the lights are off (usually the clock, overhead console, odometer, VIC are brightened when the lights are off). This is useful for radar gun duty, I don't know why it would be on a 5.9, most police cars have a button to trigger that function.

Though there is a "cop mode" present on the 5.9 PCM, we could never see anything different about the programming when it was switched on via the DRB.

Notice the interior "stock" photo
Yeah I agree, its overpriced, but most 5.9's are much higher milage.
And Thanks Kolak for your reply, I didnt think it would do much either, besides drink more gas

I'm surprised looking under the hood made him understand. I'd bet most auto salesmen couldn't even tell how many cylinders by looking, let alone tell a V from an I

Tell him that a 360 is a much better option and it bolts right in.
