What controls the body rocking from side to side?

I don't wheel my ZJ, but I do drive it over waste ground that has lots of ruts and humps and dips in it, plus low sand dunes, and the one thing I really notice is that the body rocks from side to side when on uneven ground. The up-and-down movement is pretty well controlled (my shocks are less than a year old and it's still sitting at factory ride height on the springs), it's the side-to-side that annoys me. What's worn out in the suspension that could be causing that?

front/rear Swaybars & swaybar links, they have bushings in them

Am I likely to need entirely new bars, or just new bushings?

likely? Bushings

theirs 3 different size sway bar bushings, i wanna say yours is a 26mm but I not 100%


the links are cheap enough to buy the whole thing


T-55, 3/4. 15mm are sizes ya need

probably links and bushings they are cheap i did mine for like 50$ i think

I fitted the poly bushes to the bar and the links on mine - easy job, great results.

Fat chicks getting in and out of your ZJ

Control arm bushings have a lot to do with body roll as well.

That's how mine was when I had the bilsteins on, switched to some proper shocks and its gone. And like said above, check sway har bushings and end links
