what is this black box???

There is a black box behind the front bumper on the driver's side that I bent offroading (my aftermarket bumper doesn't protect it). Just taking a wild guess I would say it's the airbag impact sensor?? these black beads that looked like gravel came pouring out of it. I just need to know what the heck it is so I can fix it, replace it, and/or remove it. donka!

Sounds like you hit your evap canister. Front driver's side corner?

That, indeed, would be your evap canister.

Is the evap can something that can be easily relocated, or is it frequently removed?

A lot of people turn them sideways, so that they are in a safer position. People probably have removed them, however, like Cats, it's part of the emmissions system, and it is illegal to do so.
