What Axle and Tranny Do i have?

Hey guys, im new to this whole jeep thing. i always wanted one and now i finally have it. I need some help though. Its a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0l. I need to do a transmission filter kit and i need a pinion seal on the rear axle. The thing is, you need to know what tranny and axle you have. Is there anyway to tell this? Sorry for the noob ness , but i need the help. I know i can just call the dealer, read the vin and get the answer, but are there any markings or distinguishable bolt patterns or anything?
