Weird issue any advice?

So ive about done everything i can think of to fix this issue ive had for a while now when the tranny goes to shift 2-3 3-4 w/e it is usually doesn't happen 1-2 though anyways it like thumps on the gas pedal sometimes hard depending on how hard im on the gas it never does it when floored and ive been noticing a shift delay kinda like a slip but i don't seem to loose much if any power but it does not shift into the next gear quickly its hard to describe im going to take it to a tranny shop soon and don't want to get screwed into a rebuild if it isn't necessary so what do you all think any advice very much appreciated,

Im wondering if the torque converter has something to do with this problem or if it really is the tranny goin out on me but it doesnt do it when floored which is what gets me cause if the tranny was going out it should do it worse floored wouldn't you think?

To add to this it seems worse when the fluid is cold sometimes and also when i drive it for like a 10th of a mile then go up a small incline then back down the small incline after sitting on top the incline for 5-10 mins it goes into reverse then like shutters out of reverse and then wont go into drive but if i put it in neutral wait a second then put it back into reverse it goes into gear then it will goto into drive.

check the fluid, you might be low, and it might be bad. if that dosent do it, drop the pan and do a filter a change, while your in there look for metal shavings or anything like that.

Alright so i went to the transmission shop today they said its the valve body that the transmission checked out good 300 bucks to replace or he suggested i try a bottle of black lube guard first so needless to say the lube guard is in and he said to run it for a week and see what happens ill keep you posted.

Should of used Lucas Transmission Fix...
http://www.lucasoil.com/products/dis...tid=2&loc=show

I have 2 quarts in mine. got the truck with 74k, has 160k. Never changed the fluid, beat the hell out of it, pull trailers, and no slippage or problems. Im not saying that what I did was good (maintenance wise) but the Lucas definitely helps. I will never touch my Trans fluid until this thing needs a rebuild. I think Im past the point of changing the fluid.
