Water in Trunk Floor Near Hatch

Hello all ...

My wife just called to say that the truck floor of her jeep is wet right in front of the handle to lift the hatch. I haven't looked at it yet, but was wondering if anybody else has had this happen and what suggetions you might have.

Thanks!

Jeff

On mine, one of the little "hold down loops" riveted to the floor was leaking. The rear tire threw water up to it, and it wicked into the carpet. Replaced the rivet with a bolt, siliconed it in, no more leaks.

and the winner is .... PutoDeMadre with the hatch seal!

There is a pretty good tear in it near the hinge. We sprayed water on it and voila ... a wet trunk.

Is there any type of permatex goop or anything that could be used for the repair or am I looking at a replacement seal?

Thanks everybody!

Jeff

I would just replace the seal if I were you.
