Water pump problems.......help, please

1999
Jeep Grand Cherokee
V8 / 4.7

ok. Just a rundown of what has happened in the last 2 days...

Yesterday, after parking, i noticed water draining from the bottom of the front end of the jeep. After getting underneath, I saw water streaming from my weap hole. It never really ran hot, but just maybe a tad over the 210F mark.

Today, woke up and replaced the water pump and thermostat. Replaced everything, Bleed and Filled the radiator back up with the correct amount of antifreeze. After driving a few miles, it seems to run fine....temp was good. After about a 10 mile drive and parked at home, I noticed water coming from the weap hole again!.

WHAT IS GOING ON? Could anyone with similar problems help me

New water pump
New thermostat
All hoses are in very solid condition. Antifreeze is circulating through nicely.

I just dont know

thanks

Did you cheap out on the waterpump (Some rebuilt Autozone pile)? Or did you buy a brand new Quality pump?

yes...used RTV sealant on the water pump. The new ones have a premade groove that the gasket fits in, so no RTV is needed. Just RTV where the metal meets metal?

I'd buy a new one from somewhere else. The Autozone water pumps last about 2 miles.
