Want to buy a new Jeep - few questions

Hey guys,

I have a 99 grand cherokee limited (inline 6 4.oL with 2WD) and want to trade it in to get a 4x4...

a dealer nearby has a 99 gc limited for sale
clean title
V8
4x4
98K miles ....for $5995

Questions:

Does the V8 have better gas mileage than the inline 6 as you dont need to step on the throttle as much to get the car going?

Is the dealer offering a good deal?

What kind of problems/maintenance should i consider for a 99 with 98K miles? (mine is a 99 and has 63K)

any suggestions/feedback is greatly appreciated... since this is the best place to ask questions b/c most of you have lots of experience/knowledge with jeeps

- armen

with the V8 you would obviously get worst gass milage but not that worst compared to the I6
seems like a prety good deal on it
with the limited im sure u have heard of the cursed blend doors issues...

Sounds like a good deal to me too but make sure and drive it and test to make it sure it checks out. Don't tell 5.9 andy where you are, he will come buy the jeep out from under you. I'm just playing.

haha...yeah i have the blend door issue with my gc too...but oh well, only the passenger has to worry about that lolll....

now i have seen some gc that are 4x4 but there are different variations...
some have Full time 4wheel, N, and 4low....and then others have an option with 2wd, 4wd, 4low, etc...which is better?
