VIC Replacement

Hey so my VIC in my ZJ is now beyond repair and so I have been searching junk yards trying to find one. Finally got lucky...and I can get one tomorrow for about $10. If it doesn't work I can actually just take it back. Question is, I have a 97 jeep ZJ with 4.0 and NP242 Selec-Trac. The VIC is from a 97 Jeep ZJ with 5.2L and I'm not sure if it is Selec-Trac or Quadra-Trac. I can't check because there is a foot deep puddle underneath the jeep at the yard because of melting snow. I don't want to get under there to check what tcase it is and all the center console has already been taken.

Will the VIC from a 5.2l with Quadra-Trac work in a 4.0 with Selec-Trac? They are the same year.

Thanks

Same year VIC will work. There are jumper wires behind the VIC to select which Tcase it displays for.

It should. The Vic actually has no idea what factory installed options you have its sole purpose is to annoy the hell out of ppl when they get old so they can be replaced with a cubby out of a 2wd zj lol.

Hahaha If I couldn't find a VIC I was going to try and replace it with a cubby but finding a 2wd ZJ is harder than I thought.

KoreaZJ - Where are these 'jumper wires' located at? Just not sure how to adjust them or what not.

Thanks

Scroll down about half a page to where it says "VIC plugs".
