OK...basically I'm fishing with this...lookin for any and all suggestions.

'95 ZJ and it's very rusty. I was going to just buy another jeep but I really don't want to spend a ton. Mine runs good but the hood is pretty shot and the liftgate is a hot mess (rotted out about 3-4 inches up from the bottom, all the way across. There is other rust but it isn't a huge issue and doesn't show that much. So, mostly I'm wanting to do something with the liftgate. The hood I can either replace or put a decent bug deflector on and it won't look too bad but the liftgate is an issue.

I'm not much for body work and have never really done any sheet metal. I'm looking for fairly inexpensive solutions...either to cover it somehow (though that doesn't seem a possibility), fix it, or replace the liftgate, which I'm guessing ain't cheap.

Any ideas, or thoughts??

Why not buy a JY tailgate and replace yours... Im sure one could be had fur under a hundred bucks... And if it needs paint that woyuldnt be much either...

Do you have a pull a part around you?

Ones around me have it priced for $44 with the glass
