I will take the picture again. I dont know what happend there, I kinda drifted for a second. ..
The only differnce is where the factory opening next to the air box on the 4.slo between the inner and outer fender is open , the V-8 has a mounting plate that houses all the Evap purge system. I just unscrewed the mounting plate, removed the various components, installed the air inlet feed thru and. placed the various componients on top of the air feed thru less the mounting bracket.. I only had to replace the tube from one of the purge valves to the charcole can, It was about 4" too short. Other than that the install is the same as on the website for ARB/Safari Snorkel

Thats cool man!
send us some pictures of the inside work.

I wonder if you changed the line from the factory box to the factory plenum. I wouldnt trust that for waterproof! Mine comes off all the time if I dont keep an eye on it.

Second is. looks like the Aussi version has a different emblem???

Wonder what it looks like and where we can get it???

If I read this correctly,

You blank off the factory plenum from the air box and cut a new one on the front driver side corner of the air box. And as far as the emblem, I painted in by hand the the raised letter section of what you see in the picture. I got tired of people asking me what is up with my exhaust up there. serious, everyone calls it an exhaust. Now they read snorkel on the side and

ok seriously...

What I was asking was what did you do if anything from the plenum to the airbox? Its my opinion that the factory tube sucks and that if I was fording, I wouldn't trust it.

Reading the ausi directions I saw that they block off the inlet from the box to the rad intake, and divert to the snorkel. thats the point of the snorkel to get that intake up higher.

My question about the emblem was that in the picture on the aussi directions, is that they use a hole in the frnder down where an emblem would be.
US versions dont have a hole like that. Was wondering if anybody knows if that is an export emblem only. and what does it look like???

The snorkel looks great by the way and thanks for finding out that it will fit the V8!

j.love, that hole looks suspiciously like one for a CB antenna passthrough.

I haven't parked next to any ZJ's , I drive a Wj , I was wondering what the A-pillar difference is and if you could use a ZJ snorkel on a WJ . Once its through the fender the rest should be easy , just rerouting some intake hoses and sealing things , just the opening where it would come in through the fender , if there is something in the way and if the A-pillar is a lot different pitch . Anyone have any idea , or am I going to have to fab something ghetto up ? Thanks
