V-8 Safari Snorkel

I want to see if anyone as tried the 4.0 snorkel on a V-8, I am buying a Used Snorkel from a 4.0 ZJ.
ARB/Safari states that it is only for the 4.0. I looked at the donor Jeep and compared it to Mine. I think I only have to re route a few lines. but the Air box looks like the same one, in the same location. before I buy. Has any one attempted to Install this one on a V-8 ..

I

I thought I heard somewhere they only had 4.0 zj's in australia so that is all they could test them on. The intakes one the 4.0 and 5.2 look the same to me though.

The only issue will be (I think) that the 5.2 has the actual throttle body dead smack in the middle of the engine bay, whereas the 4.0, that's where the head is, so the throttle body is offset.

Or am I way off base here and the only part the snorkel actually does is from the air box to the outside? (if so, ignore my post as I'm a dumb***).

I think it might work since the airboxes are in the same general location. I can't see it being that hard to "make" it work. Ahh give her hell

I am new to Gc's but have extensive Wrangler experience , the main part to worry about with snorkel's is the way it would mount to the exterior of your jeep . The 4.0 or any other motor mounting up would be just a matter of rerouting the flexible hosing ( and flexible means what it says ) . You might have to purchase a little bit of extra flex or you might have too much , just make sure you seal it up proper .

I would just make sure that your getting the snorkel from the right years ZJ=Zj , WJ = Wj , just to make sure that the lines outside are as form fitting as you can make it . I don't think it would be off much , but if your picky , then could be a deal breaker .

Steve you better not sell it to someone else before I get there!!

Last step today with the rear axle was to hook the rear D.S Up. and guess what . wrong Yoke. No big deal except I did not know what size the Nut was. I new it was a size I did not have. But no worries our fellow Jeepers helped me out And I was able to buy the right socket before the stores closed My rear tires lost a lot of rubber this evening.
