It's not about the bodystyle, it's about the coils 1983 through 1997 ford thunderbird coils will work.

Just an FYI in case you didn't already know, you have to use the isolator from the thunderbird coil over and drill a hole through it and put it over your stock isolator.
You can kinda see it here: http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f22/b.../#post12443428

Yep. It will all make more sense when you have the parts in front of you lol. I put v8 front zj springs in the back and v8 tbird springs in the front, I'm sitting at 4". Make sure you get v8 or base model v6 tbird springs, the se model tbird v6 springs are too stiff.

now all you need is to scrape up and buy that fourth tire. it will ride a lot better that way.

Lmao but the steel jack wheels ware so much better. But just to clarify that is not my rig it is my friends i helped him build. Mine is the white 98 in my profile on 33s. By the end of the year it will be on 37s (hopefully). We use our rigs to crawl and actually hate everything about the mud. Just not our style. Polkas rig is really really nice and he wheels the hell out of it. And ive seen more than one picture of mud up to his mirrors.

I have an i6 too so I pulled the v8 zj coils from the junkyard. If you use the i6 front coils in the back, you'll probably be about 3" in the back and 4" in the front. You will most likely have death wobble on stock arms. I lucked out and found a set of extended front lower control arms in the junkyard, replaced the bushings, popped em in the jeep and the death wobble was gone.

I might be able to pick some arms up off of a lifted xj. I think it is like a 2in lift. Any springs that will give me 3 in?

Not that I know of. 90s tbird coils give a little less lift than 80s so that would be your best bet.

That was the body style I was assuming you meant, But I will say that each body style/generation thunderbird has a different suspension. So it is kinda about the body style. Just sayin..
