Upgrades

What is something i can do to upgrade my 4.0 that isnt as aggressive as turbos, superchargers and stroker kits.
Just something like a camshaft and things like that.
I have heard of the High Output version of the 4.0 but have been unable to find out if i have it so forth.

Throttle body spacer and bigger injectors certainly help. It won't become a tire turner but it'll get you more power

A 4.0 is just that. Best things you can do for it is keep all your maintenance items in tip top shape. You can make minor gains by using a header, a WJ manifold swap, 703 injectors, freed up exhaust system but at the end of it all you will be relying on terms like "butt dyno", "I think it feels stronger" ect to describe your results. A head refresh with a stock cam replacement and new lifters and gears and chain will also make a difference but you need to think about the bottom end too because it is a possibility that the nice new top end will put strain on that 1995 bottom end and well...you know the result. That far in its a crap shoot and unless you are trying to wring every last mile before a pull and rebuild {like my insane logic}. Spend your money on getting a detailed tuneup, plugs, cap, wires, new sensors, cleaning the throttle body, cleaning the injectors, check all your hoses, battery volts and charging system, battery cables and grounds nice and clean, filters, check distributor play, and maybe install a new timimg chain and gears. After you spend all that time and dough, stand back and know you probably did more good for your engine than "upgrades".

I did all of the above with the exception of the wj manifold and 703 injectors{found new mopar OE} all new everything, and was pleased with the result. The melling cam shifted the powerband a bit to the high end, solved my slow start problem, quietened my valve train noise ect., but at the end of the day its still a 4.0. I'm just happy with that. Get the house you have in order then go from there.

Injector & intake swap, hi-flow exhaust upgrade, cat-back or headers too. You'll get a little more oomph but honestly it won't be much
