I assume that the thinner pieces of steel are to go on the outside of the "framerail"? Otherwise, I'd be a little nervous about pulling that right through.
the guy who built the bumper said he drills holes for 3/4 d ring, so i ordered 3/4 d rings and the pin from the d ring is to big to fit in the hole... so i dont really want to buy smaller ones because i they will be weaker..., :brickwall
If there is an actual 3/4" hole for a pin that is huge. I think mine are 5/8 which is a standard pin that holds a reciever hitch in place.
I just looked back at your pics. In my eye you have about a 1/2 in hole for a pin. the thickness of the metal used to drill through is 3/4" Even if you used D rings that fit those holes they would be way strong enough but if you want a larger look, I still a lot of metal there you can drill out to a larger size.
Everyones Forgotten about the ZJ Backbone Bumper System. Its about 350 bucks after shipping, but its pretty beef. I Had one but when I went to install it, my frame rails were to bent for it to fit right without modification.. . Had to send it back.
